Originally from Guinea-Bissau but a son of Cape Verde, 1968, when all toys were created by those who played with them, and creativity and artistic ability were truly intuitive processes.
My degree in product design gave me my first aesthetic foundation, and photography emerged as a form of expression. Two authors have marked my way of looking, perceiving and feeling: (Hall, E.T.; "The hidden dimension," London, 1969); (Tanizaki, Junichiro; “In'ei Raisan," Japan, 1933, translated to English "In Praise of Shadows," 1977). Therefore, I like to explore the concept of spatiality and shadow in how it supports and reveals light.
Later, photographing events allowed me to meet artists and their contemporary art.
